The three-bedroom home at 15 Esplanade, Semaphore South is being marketed by Ray White Semaphore agent Eileen Mousley and is set to go under the hammer on 13 December.

The property, which won multiple Building Designers Association Awards in 2006 - including Best Interior Fit Out, Best Duplex, and Best Project Overall - has been far more than just a house.

The vendors bought the property in 2007 when they had a young family.

"After years away in Melbourne, we were coming home to be with family. The moment we walked in, we loved how open and light it was - perfect for family life,” they said.

"We've celebrated every milestone here.

“This house has a way of bringing people together - the space is so inviting and welcoming."

The sunken lounge with its soaring ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows creates a stunning focal point, while the beach backdrop offers what the owners call "ocean TV" - sweeping views from the master bedroom, the main lounge, and even while walking down the stairs.

The family has been involved in the local Surf Lifesaving Club over the years, embracing the beachside lifestyle just 50 meters from the sand.

"There's a beautiful walking trail on the reserve nearby, and Semaphore has this wonderful character, like a country town on the coast, but only 12km from the city," the vendors said.

"Different times of day reveal different personalities of the home. Sunrise on the deck, mornings in the sunken lounge with light streaming through the windows, sunset watching from the balcony - each moment has its own magic."

The vendors said the addition of a swim spa in the alfresco area has provided year-round enjoyment for the active family.

Now, with their family grown, the vendors are ready for their next adventure - a return to rural country life.
