MORE than people 9922 people attended our auctions last week, with a super private and spacious home in Stanwell Park, NSW - an hour from Sydney - recording the highest sale in Australia under the hammer for the week.

Ray White Helensburgh agent Emilia A’Bell sold 53 The Drive, Stanwell Park for $1.520M in front of 20 people after 40 inspections, five contracts and two registered bidders.

The four bedroom architecturally designed coastal home attracted mostly empty nesters from inner west of Sydney.

“The successful bidder plans to use it as their holiday home until they retire and move down on a more permanent basis,” Ms A’Bell said.

“I got a lot of interest on this property from people in the inner west of Sydney all looking to escape the ‘crazy’ yet still be within an easy commute to Sydney.

“The style of the home and idyllic aspect was extremely appealing, plus it’s proximity to the beach - it’s only a 600m walk and the cafes are only 500m away - made it very attractive.

“It’s a super quiet location.”

Since July 1, there’s been more than 354,000 people attend our auctions, with 30 people the average crowd size.

In Melbourne, Ray White Glenroy held a very successful auction event on Valentine’s Day with nine sales for a 72 per cent clearance from 86 registered bidders and in front of 200 people looking on.

There was 20 registered bidders - nine of whom were active - in quest to own 114 Waranga Cres, Broadmeadows which sold for $492,000 under the hammer.

Ray White Glenroy agents Vince Carnevale and Erhan Kalistu were under strict instructions to sell the three bedroom deceased estate. “Renovate, detonate or develop,” they said.

Meanwhile it was a similar story in Epping, when 20 people registered to bid at 11 Arcadian Court, but only nine bidders were active. Ray White Epping agent Kevin Wong sold the three bedroom property on 695sqm for $1.277M under the hammer in front of 20 people.

Our Gladstone Park team in Melbourne had a great day on Saturday. There was 150 people in attendance at this Spanish inspired four bedroom Greenvale home which sold under the hammer for $935,000. Ray White Gladstone Park principal Malek Younan said it was an exciting auction at 12 McGuire Court, Greenvale with four registered bidders who were all were active during the auction.

Meanwhile, in Brisbane there was 12 registered bidders and half of them were active at 8 Pumice St, Eight Mile Plains which sold for $990,000 under the hammer.

In Perth, there was a public trustee auction at 46 Mallard Way, Cannington with seven registered bidders, six of which were active, and Ray White Cannington principal Cameron Smart sold under the hammer for $911,000. A well known local Italian builder/developer and his son bought 46 Mallard and in a nice twist they also built a two storey home across the road for the same owner at number 43 Mallard Way back in 1990.

Cameron Smart, principal at Ray White Cannington, said it was fitting that the buyer was someone who personally knew the owners and had built their family home many years ago. Ray White Cannington has sold four from four over the past two weeks which is a great effort for their team.
