A Little Ray of Giving at the Salvos

The year 2020 has been like no other and we’ve all faced our challenges one way or another. Your media team wanted to give something back and volunteered a few hours at the Salvation Army at Christmas to help pack and sort donated toys to be given to families in need.
The media team has an excellent relationship with the Salvos, having volunteered for them previously.
“It’s a huge undertaking, but we give hope to families who are doing it tough. For most of us, Christmas is joyful and fun but for people who are struggling to make ends meet, Christmas can be daunting,” Salvation Army Australia Relationship Manager Melinda Burrows explained.
“The Salvation Army tries to relieve the pressure a little and give parents the chance to share the magic of Christmas with their kids without worrying about the cost or where their next meal will come from. It’s a small gesture, but it has a big impact.”
We’re all proud to be part of the Ray White family – and as we’ve seen with our own ‘Little Ray of Giving’ over the past few years – the giving spirit is strong among us.
It was with a sense of pride that we were able to sort through gifts knowing that each one would add a smile to someone’s face on Christmas. From the warehouse, gifts get distributed and end up in the hands of 8,000 children across Queensland.
This was the media team’s personal Little Ray of Giving.
