Boak has moved back to Melbourne to take up a new leadership and culture role with the Blues.
The exclusive listing is being marketed by Rod Smitheram, sales executive and auctioneer at Ray White Glenelg for the Port Adelaide games record holder. More than 100 groups of buyers flooded through the first open homes at the weekend.
In fact, according to Ray White data it was the busiest open home in the country last week with a lot of local buyers, footy fans and interstate enquiries. “It was so busy,” Mr Smitheram said.
The immaculate property, Boak's second home but his "first ever build" was designed as a private sanctuary and a complete retreat from the demands of elite professional sport.
The entire design and build process spanned almost three years, with Boak retiring in 2025 after a 19-year playing career that saw him amass 387 games for Port Adelaide.
"I wanted to build something that when I came home from footy I could walk in and just be completely at peace," Boak said.
This focus on tranquility and recovery resulted in a residence featuring high-end, bespoke amenities tailored to an elite athlete's lifestyle.
The custom-built home, completed in 2015 by a local Adelaide builder, showcases exceptional attention to detail across its 400sqm internal living space on a generous 1000sqm block.
The property makes an immediate impression with four-metre ceilings upon entry and throughout the entire front entrance hall, setting the tone for a residence designed with grandeur and space in mind.
The master suite continues this theme with soaring four-metre ceilings, complemented by an incredible walk-in robe and ensuite that reflect the home's commitment to luxury and functionality.
The residence offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with two generous living areas designed for both relaxation and entertaining.
A dedicated home theatre provides the perfect space for unwinding and watching movies, though it could equally serve as a fifth bedroom or third living area depending on the new owner's needs.
At the heart of the home lies a gourmet kitchen and butler's pantry fitted with integrated SMEG appliances, while storage has been given careful consideration throughout with an abundance of inbuilt cabinetry and benchtop space addressing every practical need.
The house's elite-level focus extended beyond the building itself, with a personal chef preparing meals tailored to Boak's nutritional needs during his playing career. His success in remaining at an elite level for nearly two decades, which he attributes to constantly evolving his "purpose and your why", demanded an equally high-performance home life.
The property's outdoor spaces have been thoughtfully designed to support both recovery and lifestyle.
A tiled heated outdoor swimming pool provides the perfect setting for therapeutic relaxation, while a dedicated gym space allowed Boak to maintain his training regime in privacy. The outdoor kitchen and BBQ area create an ideal entertaining space, all within a spacious rear yard that offers room to breathe.
A private theatre room was designed specifically for relaxation and movies, providing a complete escape from the pressures of elite sport. The huge oversized double garage accommodates vehicles with ease, while two additional car spaces ensure there's never a parking concern for family or guests.
Travis Boak leaves behind an extraordinary legacy at Port Adelaide. Drafted at pick 5 in the 2006 national draft, his exceptional career saw him become the club's games record holder with 387 matches. He served as Club Captain from 2013 to 2018, earning selection as an All-Australian three times in 2013, 2014, and 2020. His individual achievements include being a dual John Cahill Medallist in 2011 and 2019, and finishing as Brownlow Medal runner-up in 2020.
The sale marks the end of Boak's long-term commitment to South Australia and the beginning of a fresh chapter in Victoria. He has joined the Carlton Football Club in a vital off-field capacity, taking on the newly created Head of Leadership and Culture role.
The position will see him working closely with the Blues' playing group three days a week on leadership and cultural development. Boak was motivated to join Carlton due to the club's "clear direction, a strong vision and most importantly total alignment."
The property enjoys a coveted position just 400 metres from the golden sands of Somerton Park and Adelaide's best beaches, with cosmopolitan Jetty Road Glenelg and Jetty Road Brighton only a five-minute drive away. The home is also located adjacent to Sacred Heart College, just a one-minute walk, making it ideal for families.
The residence is being offered through Rod Smitheram of Ray White Glenelg. The property is for sale via expressions of interest closing on February 9.
"This home embodies the discipline and attention to detail that defined Travis's career," Mr Smitheram said.
