Three reasons to buy this island paradise

The only thing better than owning one house on beautiful North Stradbroke Island, is owning three.

The Beach Boys complex is on the market for the first time, with the trio of freestanding houses on individual titles being offered as a single package.

Josephine Huybers and her family commissioned award-winning sustainable architect Jaye Irving to design the Point Lookout houses 14 years ago.

“We won two national awards for design,” she said.

“They’re low cost to run with solar power, water harvesting and the likes.”

Josephine and her husband Peter have been living on-site for the past two years, managing the complex which is popular with holidaymakers.

“We’ve had over 1000 people come and stay with us in that time,” she said.

“It’s really efficient, anyone can do it and it’s just a great lifestyle.”

Three generations of Josephine’s family have enjoyed countless Christmas holidays at Beach Boys.

“It sleeps up to 20 people and it’s unreal for families to get together,” she said.

“It’s wonderful for group bookings because it’s the three houses, so everyone has plenty of space and privacy.

“It’s really a great way to have an extended family holiday.”

Ray White North Stradbroke Island sales agent Chris Ransley is marketing the sale of Beach Boys, which is listed for $2,595,000.

“This is an absolute turnkey opportunity,” Mr Ransley said.

“Almost everything you see in the advertising and marketing is included, plus great handover training from the sellers.

“A huge drawcard is the location which is walking distance to the beach and everything Point Lookout has to offer.”

Mr Ransley is also accepting expressions of interest from parties who may only wish to purchase one of the three houses.

“The houses may sell separately, but all will be sold at the same time,” he said.

“We’ve had enquiries from large families with grown-up kids, as well as people who’d like to go on a list to buy one of the three.”

North Stradbroke Island offers an idyllic lifestyle, just 30kms southeast of Brisbane.

“Don’t be daunted by the prospect; this is easy to run,” Josephine said.

“We travel a great deal and it’s a very easy set-up to look after with great potential to tap into hosting corporate retreats.

“We’re only selling because our family is now based around the world so it’s time for a new chapter.”

The large, open-plan houses are surrounded by lush, established sub-tropical gardens on an elevated yet private 898sq m parcel of land.
