Rural’s Ben Redfern Recognised with Industry Award
A huge congratulations to Ben Redfern, Ray White Emms Mooney, Molong who was named the winner of the Australian Livestock and Property Agents Association (ALPA) and Fairfax Agricultural Media Marketing Award last Thursday night in Sydney.
The award, now in its ninth year, recognises excellence in marketing by agents with less than 10 years’ experience in the industry.
For Ben, the win means the opportunity to hone his skills during a trip to the 2014 Calgary Stampede in Canada courtesy of Fairfax Agricultural Media and Quadrant Australia, $1000 spending money and the Mike Nixon Shield.
“It’s a big achievement to be recognised by my peers in the industry – it’s a dream come true for me,” Mr Redfern said.
Ben paid tribute to the late Charlie Maher who was taken from us in March and who encouraged him to enter the competition last year when he made the national final.
“Charlie had a big influence on my career so I wanted to come back this year for him.”
Ben was selected from among six national finalists from around Australia including our very own Scott Creek from Ray White Keatley, Mount Gambier.
