Record sale for northbridge apartments

A deceased estate in the northbridge apartments on Brisbane’s south bank has sold at auction for a record price of $1.32m.

Marketed through Damon Warat of Ray White Ascot, the property at 44/228 Vulture Street, South Brisbane achieved the highest sale price ever recorded for the building.

“We had six registered bidders on the night. Bidding started at $950,000 and reached $1.3m. At this stage a new bidder came into play and the bids went up in $5,000 increments until it sold at $1.32m,” Damon explains.

“The successful bidder was someone who had see the apartment for the first time that night.”

Held onsite on Wednesday evening, 15 October, around 80 people were in attendance.

“We had a lot of interest throughout the campaign and were confident of selling under the hammer.

“In my opinion, this is the best apartment in the building. Two penthouses share the top floor and this one features a coveted north-easterly aspect.

“This apartment features one of the largest entraining balconies on the South Bank, with 145m² of outdoor living space. You see 180 degree panoramic views from the Gateway Bridge to Mt Cootha from wrap around balcony which can be accessed from every room,” Mr Warat explains.
