Rebecca Osenton finds her true calling

REBECCA Osenton has found her calling and is very excited about her move to open Ray White Pelican Waters.
The new owner of Ray White Pelican Waters, set to open in July 14, came from the bush three years ago but there’s no turning back now after she opted for a sea change.
Ms Osenton relocated from her family’s cattle stud in the Maranoa region in south-western Queensland to Caloundra to work for Ray White.
Now she’s in partnership with Ray White Caloundra principal Andrew Garland, and together they will soon open Ray White Pelican Waters in the Pelican Waters Shopping Centre.
“My passion is for the Pelican Waters community and my understanding of the market has uncovered the requirement for a local office based in the suburb. This new business will be one of very few Pelican Waters based real estate offices,” she said.
“We are right behind Pelican Waters and we are backing this commitment up with an office in the area.”
Ray White Queensland CEO Tony Warland said he was delighted to see someone of Rebecca Osenton’s sales calibre and pedigree move into business ownership.
“Rebecca has the perfect traits of honesty and integrity, plus attention to detail. She has an intimate knowledge of the local housing market and has built up a network of connections,” Mr Warland said.
“Knowledge is power in real estate, and I know she will succeed but we’ll do everything we can to support her.”
Ms Osenton reached Ray White’s elite sales level in only her second year of selling.
“There’s actually a lot of people from rural Queensland who retire to the Sunshine Coast, and there’s a lot in Pelican Waters. So for me it’s been a great conversation starter,” she said.
“I am definitely comfortable on the back of a horse or branding calves, that is my roots but I do love my new career too. We always had an annual bull sale each year so I’ve been around auctions all my life, I know how important the method of sale is.
Pelican Waters is a master-planned community with a wide choice of  new homes, apartments and villas throughout its 810ha water-based community.
Ms Osenton said it was a community of 3000 property owners. “Pelican Waters is the closest southern tip of the Sunshine Coast, and you could commute to Brisbane Airport in under an hour. It’s the perfect community, it’s all right there.”
