Ray White WA supports the Drive for MND

For the fifth year the Ray White group in Western Australia and its members have underpinned the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association of WA’s biggest fundraising event – Drive for MND.
This year a new record was set with $152,000 being delivered to the cause.
Of these funds, $50,000 has been earmarked for clinical trials into finding a cure for this most insidious of diseases, while the remainder will go towards supporting people living with and dealing with MND through the association.
The event saw some 20 participant vehicles travel to Dongara, Dandaragan and surrounding areas in convoy, raising awareness and the much needed funds.
Ray White WA chief executive Mark Whiteman said a great time was had by all with many pledging to participate in next year’s adventure.
Mr Whiteman paid thanks to his corporate team, and to Loan Market state director Ken McLennan who has led the drive for all five years.
This year marked the 15th year since the Whiteman family lost their beloved Ann Whiteman to Motor Neurone Disease (MND and have pledged to continue to fight to support people living with the disease.
“Unfortunately there is still no known cause and no cure for this ghastly disease so aptly named “The Beast” by football legend Neale Daniher,” Mr Whiteman said.
Next year’s event has been scheduled for 12-14 October 2018. To find out how you can donate, participate and get involved, email bscarey@raywhite.com
