Ray White QLD appoints Chief Auctioneer
In a strategic move to bolster its auction service, Ray White Queensland has appointed Mitch Peereboom to the role of Chief Auctioneer.
Ray White Queensland chief executive officer Tony Warland said this was an opportunity to enhance what was already culturally known as a powerful part of the network’s business.
“I encourage you to support the formation of this new division as its growth will be of benefit to all. Mitch Peereboom had skills and success in this area, with a clear track record of attending listing presentations and assisting the salesperson to win the auction listing and marketing campaign,” Mr Warland said.
The cornerstone of Ray White’s method of sale had always been the auction and marketing process.
Ray White currently markets 31.9 per cent of all auctions in Queensland.
“We have so many professional and highly skilled members who have become genuine practitioners in the auction method of sale,” Mr Warland said.
“In the field we are supported and highly complemented by a number of high profile auctioneers who are strong assets to both our brand and businesses throughout the marketplace.
“Internally though, as a corporate entity, it has been some time since we have had an auction division.
“After receiving a lot of feedback and taking into consideration the opportunity to grow our auction business, we have decided to invest in rebuilding it by appointing a Chief Auctioneer for Ray White Queensland.
“This specialist will not only work in training, development and calling the auctions, but will also be heavily involved in the procurement of auction listings and marketing.
Mr Peereboom, 23, said he was excited to join Ray White.
“After calling thousands of auctions in my career, I am delighted to join the largest franchise group in Australasia,” Mr Peereboom said.
“I am particularly excited to join a group that has auctions in its DNA. That is something that resonates with me. I look forward to working with everyone at Ray White Queensland.”
