A little bit about our town Inverell......

Inverell is a thriving centre with a population  of 12,000 & district population of 18,000.  The town is a service centre for the rich & diverse agricultural industry surrounding it & while it has become more cosmopolitan in many ways, it still retains the true Australian country essence & feel.  Inverell is known world wide for its beautiful sapphires & whether you are a seasoned fossicker or a complete beginner, when you’re in the Sapphire City you should take the opportunity to get your hands dirty.

In summer, you’ll see boats being towed through town, packed with eskies, fishing rods & water skis.  It feels like the whole of Inverell is in holiday mode & with Copeton & Pindari dam so close why wouldn’t you go for a complete getaway that the whole family can enjoy?

The beautiful trees lining the streets are the first impression you have as you drive into Inverell.  They generously spread shade over the walkways in Summer, but look glorious all year round.  The shopping precinct of the town has been landscaped so attractively that the gardens nearly steal the show.  However it is well worth looking past the greenery as you’ll find a retail haven that is really something special.
