New Unit Block in Moranbah for Miners

Real estate construction is underway for miners in the Moranbah area who are looking to purchase near their workplace.

The rural Queensland town is going to see 30 two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments built, with air conditioning, car spaces and stainless steel appliances installed.

The block of units will be built just minutes from the town centre, with News Limited reporting that only two apartments are still for sale, priced at $519,000.

Reed Construction Group, the enterprise that is building the unit block, is still searching for retailers for its ground floor space.

Investors who are searching for rental properties may be interested in the development, with Jason Kollanyi – Reed's sales and marketing manager – telling News Limited that up to 20 coal mines surround Moranbah, with many fly-in fly-out workers serviced by the town.

"We expect that construction of the Moranbah development will inject approximately $10 million of immediate expenditure into the local economy,'' he said.

Reed highlighted the convenience of the developments, as the units are in close proximity to Moranbah Fair Shopping Centre and all the local amenities.
