Dawn has more than 30 years experience in operations and project management, which has honed her stakeholder management, time management and organisational skills and left her prepared and ready for all eventualities.
Dawn has extensive financial services experience, having previously run credit teams for ANZ, residential valuations for Opten Victoria (previously Market Line) and Customer Complaints for NAB. Most recently, Dawn was the Operations Manager for the Loan Market in house broker team where her passion for creating order out of chaos and delivering the best possible customer experience had full rein.
A Frankston ‘veteran’ and an alumni of Frankston High School, Dawn is a strong advocate for the lifestyle that the suburb and surrounds provides.
In her 'other life', Dawn has a wide range of interests. She has released two critically appreciated writer of two books – Real Women Love Footy (with Penny Mackieson, Lothian, 2003) and Speaking Frankly (Trinity College, 2012). A breast cancer survivor, she is an ambassador and in-demand speaker for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and a tireless worker for the cause of cancer research, treatment and support.
She is married to Hugh who she describes as one of the two great loves of her life. The other, unfortunately for some, is the Collingwood Football Club.
