Dear Andrew White, I can only imagine how often you're involved in managing complaints from people. But today, I'm not one of those people. Today I'm going to tell you how thrilled I am with the service and advice I've received from the team at Drummoyne. From the beginning: In September of 2009, my father - an 80 year old man with early signs of dementia - decided to put his house on the market. Chris Wilkins and the team did everything right. However, one week before the auction date, dad got cold feet and decided to withdraw his home from sale. While i can only imagine their disappointment at the time, they never expressed it to us. Chris was sympathetic and respectful and merely reminded us to call if we ever changed our minds. Twelve months on, we did just that. Above and beyond: During a campaign, I would expect the agent to turn up on time, liase with potential purchasers and keep vendors abreast of any developments. What i would never expect was the degree to which Chris and Alladin would exceed our expectations. Chris would routinely call the house prior to inspections to ensure dad remembered. They would turn up early to ensure they had time to have a chat with dad beforehand (dad would always ask the same questions and they would always answer like it was the first time). And when we couldn't be there to take care of dad for half an hour, they would turn up in pairs so that one could take dad for a walk while the other stayed behind. We had a great outcome on auction day - a great pay- off for all their hard work. The icing on the cake: My understanding of auctions was that, once the gavel came down, dialogue between the agent and vendor would be limited to settlement discussions through solicitors etc. I was wrong. Over the past week or so, Chris has been helping us find a suitable property for dad. The thing is, none of the properties we've looked at for dad are with the Ray White chain. Despite this, Chris has looked up properties on the internet, provided advice and even came with us to an inspection on Saturday. He has also agreed to come see another property with us tomorrow evening, juggling prior committments to do so. Chris has been just marvelous. We feel extremely fortunate to have chosen someone who is so genuine and supportive. I can't imagine this to be common in the Real Estate game, but it should certainly be recognised as best practice. I'm an advocate of the brand and will recommend Chris to anyone prepared to listen. How you can help me now: I work in the Human Resources division supporting leadership at Westpac and understand the importance of recognition.
