New project ticks all the boxes in Ascot
ASCOT Silver is a brand new boutique townhome development in Brisbane by Azara Projects that will see 14 four bedroom terrace-like homes built by Hutchinson Builders by the end of the year.
The stylish husband and wife project team behind Azara Projects is Jason Byron and Amy Tang who moved to Brisbane from Sydney four years ago to raise their family.
The pair, who once completed a project in Sydney’s inner west that was later bought and raised more than $4 million for Boystown, are experienced in building luxury executive homes and projects 6-8kms from the CBD.
“Our latest project in Ascot is different, and unique and we are not copying anyone else. If anything we are copying Melbourne’s terraces,” Mr Byron said.
Ascot Silver will see 14 large 205-253 sq m townhomes built for $790,000 – $845,000 each, with four already sold.
“To get a four bedroom home in Ascot you would have to pay $1.4 million, so to get your own townhome with land and outdoors space for $800,000 is incredibly rare,” Mr Byron said.
“The Brisbane Racing Club development is going to transform Ascot and we have a big block of land just 150 metres walk to Doomben and a five minute walk to the new Woolworths.
“The school district is sought after with parents of young children and there’s such a short supply of stock in Ascot. You simply cannot rent a four bedroom townhouse in this area, and you may see one three bedroom townhouse come onto market every three months. There is an absolute shortage of supply.”
Ms Tang, a designer, said buyers craved outdoor space for entertaining.
“Our design is very flexible and intelligent. We promise to deliver a product that will suit a high end client in a high growth area. For an investor, we want to deliver a beautiful product that is an area that will always go up.
“We told our architect that people are not happy with three bedroom townhouses with a single garage, as we know people want four bedroom homes.
“Downsizers are used to being in bigger houses too and they don’t want to sacrifice space. So for that reason, we never build anything with only one car garages, everything we deliver to market always has two car parks.”
Ray White New Farm marketing agent Hamish Bowman said these limited edition, Melbourne inspired high design townhomes were located in the heart of Ascot.
“This is your chance to own your piece of land in one of the best suburbs of Brisbane for under $800,000.00, and that is great level buying of a high end product.”
The Azara Projects duo always focus their developments in suburbs that are community driven, with good transport without living on top of the train station.
New buyer Rob Steer, 28, ended a three year search when he found Ascot Silver.
“Almost everyone I know who is my age has been looking for at least three years and due to unaffordable prices it has made it impossible to get into the market. It wasn’t until I found Ascot Silver that I knew I had found something very rare,” Mr Steer said.
“It is a brand new architecturally designed townhouse, that included four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two cars in a fantastic suburb.
“To find a four bedroom house in Ascot it would cost you over a million dollars. I am not a fan of apartments for a variety of reasons – so the intermediary is a townhouse.
“To get a brand new architecturally designed 4 bedroom townhouse in Ascot for $800,000 is rare.”
Mr Steer said when he first reviewed the townhouse, the immediate response was “wow”.
“My partner loved modern cool look of the kitchen and bathroom. The warm wooden finishes make the rooms look spacious and light. On top of that the location is perfect, having to frequently go to the airport, it is only a 10 minute drive and then you have the lifestyle, close to the races, Racecourse Rd, Portside, and golf course.
“Once a number of government infrastructure projects are completed as well like the Kingsford Smith Dr upgrade I believe it will increase the value of the area.”
Mr Steer said townhouses facade was modern and looked like a row of terrace houses as opposed to a cramped unit block.
“On top of that the floor plan provides a number of different ‘spaces’ where as a single or couple can have their own space. My partner and I want to start a family here. The courtyard gives some space for kids unlike an apartment so you could definitely start a family here. In terms of transport it is close to the airport and train station,” he said.
“Makes it easy getting to the city compared to taking the car. You can also get the city cat up the river to new farm.”
Location offers a range of lifestyle aspects such as Eat Street markets, races, loads of places to eat, eagle farm markets, kayak on the river, Portside, golf course. DFO and Skygate shopping centre is also a 10 min drive (the supermarket there is open until 3am – will be convenient).
