Beaumaris auction smashes reserve

The auction for a two bedroom home in Black Rock received a high level of buyer interest and sold for $186,000 over reserve.

Marketed through Nicole Payne of Ray White Beaumaris, the property at 16 Love Street, Black Rock sold for $1.236m at the auction on 7 February 2015.

On the day of the auction, 10 buyer’s registered and and half of them entered the bidding.

“The auction was highly contested with five bidders placing a total of 38 bids throughout.

“We took 136 groups through the property, issued 18 contracts and knew that there were several serious buyers,” Nicole said.

The architecturally designed home features two bedrooms and two bathrooms and Nicole says it’s the ideal property to downsize

The property was inspected by 158 groups and seven contracts issued. Five people registered on the day, with four of them entering the bidding. After 19 bids the property passed in at $890 and a post-auction sale of $905,000 was negotiated.
